Our History
Australian Laboratory Services P/L began as a geochemistry laboratory in 1976 in Brisbane (Australia) to serve the country's mining companies. Five years later, it was acquired by Campbell Brothers Limited, which began a journey of expansion, leading ALS to become one of the largest and most respected commercial laboratory services companies in the world.
After rapid growth and diversification in Australia in the 1980s, ALS expanded to Asia and South America, then to North America, Africa and Europe in the early 2000s and the Middle East. In 2015, ALS Global acquired Tribolab (SP) in Brazil, and in 2017, Oilcheck (MG); making ALS Global the holder of the largest database in the South American market and the one with the most specialized team in the Tribology segment. The following year, the operation was unified in Belo Horizonte, providing a more complete and up-to-date fluid analysis laboratory.
